Non-farm payrolls-USA
Non-farm payrolls rose by 243,000 in February with net revision to d
prior two months subtracting 18,000 jobs form d economy. D market was expecting 200,000. Sectors posting d largest job gains were d construction sector, posting a
41,000 increase in employment, and professional services which posted
a 39,000 increase. D government sector also added jobs, posting a
38,000 increase after two months of declines.
D data was released last Friday night and my number was 150,000 d lowest of d lot and thus I joined the losers to pay for breakfast consisting of "soon kueys". Ha ha well deserved loss!
Why is this monthly data important? Well its a gauge of economic activity via job creation. So for Feb the US economy created 243,000 more jobs..
